Summary

Susan E. Miller is a recognized speaker and expert educator in the field of Dyslexia. With over 30 years experience, she has presented at national and regional International Dyslexia Association conferences, Association of Special Education Schools in NJ (ASAH), and Parent Teacher Organization meetings on the topic of Dyslexia. Susan earned a dual Master’s Degree in Learning Disabilities and Reading from New York University Steinhardt School. She went on to earn her Learning Disabilities Teacher/Consultant certification from Rutgers University School of Education which allowed her to conduct educational evaluations for the past 15 years. Susan is a Credentialed Wilson Dyslexia Therapist and a certified Wilson Foundations presenter. She is a LETRS credentialed local trainer (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) and a certified trainer for the Acadience family of reading and math screening tools. Susan has been the Assistant Director, Robinowitz Education Center, for the past 7 years and in that capacity has developed numerous workshops for parents and educators.

The Robinowitz Education Center, formerly the Newgrange Education Center, is a private, non-profit institution that offers educational evaluations, consultation services, professional development and tutoring. The center is dedicated to serving individuals with language-based learning disabilities and providing expert training to educators throughout the world. It is a New
Jersey certified provider of professional development, and is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association, Wilson Reading and Sopris West (LETRS – Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling). The Robinowitz Center is proud to work in partnership with The College of New Jersey’s Literacy Advancement Project by providing evaluations to children in high-risk communities.

  • Administer educational and diagnostic assessments, formal and informal, to individuals that seek out the services of the Robinowitz Education Center.
  • Recommend effective teaching methods and technology for students identified as having specific learning disabilities, such as dyslexia.
  • Oversee the caseload of individuals that are tutored at the Education Center.
