Summary

Julia J. Yi (Ph.D.) is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Carolina Postdoctoral Program for Faculty Diversity in the School of Medicine’s Division of Speech and Hearing Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a research focus on literacy, and she earned her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests are guided by over a decade of experiences working as a speech-language pathologist with children and adolescents with disabilities in urban schools and in her private practice that focused on supporting students with language-based learning disabilities.
