Summary

Elise is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with over 20 years experience in working with students with literacy difficulties. Elise completed a post-graduate certificate in structured teaching in dyslexia from Dyslexia Action in the UK.  She is the director of Little Voices Speech Pathology and is a practitioner at The Dyslexia Hub in Melbourne’s north-east.  Elise has been a guest presenter on Dyslexia at Little Learners Love Literacy, and at the Sharing Best Practice in Literacy and Numeracy conference in 2019.

Elise has a passion for supporting and advocating for students with dyslexia, and educating teachers in how best to support students with dyslexia in the classroom. Elise has presented to numerous schools on understanding what dyslexia is, and how to support students with dyslexia. Elise is a founding member and has been on the board of directors of the Australian registered charity, Code Read Dyslexia Network. Elise is part of a working party for Code Read Dyslexia Network seeking to obtain a Medicare number for the assessment and intervention of Dyslexia, in order for more families to be able to access the appropriate services.
