MAX’IS Creations is now a successful family business with over 140,000 play-with-your-food sports mugs sold throughout the world. I love that we get to work together as a family bringing us closer together, making a difference and inspiring others. I happen to have dyslexia, a language-based learning difference often linked to creativity. While dyslexia can make learning in school hard, it is also a gift that got me to come up with an idea that no one else ever thought of. Kids like me see the world differently and the world is lucky that we do. We are proud to use my successful product idea to raise awareness and support for the talent and ingenuity of the 1 in 5 kids in the U.S. who happen to think and learn differently. I have already donated over $60 thousand dollars to dyslexia charities like Understood.org. Imagine what other great ideas our world will have when ALL kids who think and learn differently are understood!

Hi, my name is Max and I am the 16-year-old Chief Creator of MAX’IS Creations and the inventor of The Mug With A Hoop!® In my second grade art class, I added a basketball hoop to a clay mug so that I could toss marshmallows into hot chocolate. Other kids started copying me so I knew it was a good idea. My parents helped me pitch my idea at a product innovation contest held at Fenway Park in Boston and I won the community vote. I was issued my first patent from the USPTO when I was ten years old and now hold 6 patents. I was named Product Developer of the Year at the 2016 American Business awards, was the recipient of a 2021 Amazon Launchpad Innovation Grant and am currently nominated for Amazon Launchpad Innovator of the Year!
